Today’s the day. Sync on the full 500gb chain complete after 22h. I spent a total of £110 for a mini PC with i3, 8gb RAM and 1TB SSD. I know it’s not a fancy raspberry pi4 on umbrel etc, but I’m happy with it as I can still connect the electrum to it and verify for myself.
I encourage you to run your own node as well. Not just for your own security, but to boost Bitcoin node numbers too. The more the merrier! 😉
